ADOPTION COUNSELING

Tackling the Growing Pains that come with New Beginnings

Therapy that helps adoptees, parents, and families navigate questions of identity, attachment, and trust with compassion and clarity. Together, we create space for each person’s voice and story to be heard.

When love isn’t the only emotion in the room

As an adoptive mother with experience in parenting children with special needs and attachment trauma, I understand the many emotions that come with adoption. There are both gains and losses that need reconciling. Adoptees may wrestle with questions of identity or self-worth, while parents might struggle to connect despite their best intentions. Therapy helps uncover what’s beneath the surface; grief, confusion, or fear, and begins the process of repairing the bonds that sustain healthy relationships.
